The building of the Shahid Motahari Higher School, which dates back to the Qajar era, shines like a gem in the center of Tehran characterized by its eight minarets. Renowned for its strength, spaciousness, and stunning aesthetics, it stands as the largest mosque and higher school in the capital, constructed in alignment with traditional Iranian-Islamic architectural standards. The architect, Mirza Mehdi Khan Mumtahan al-Dawlah, meticulously crafted the designs and layout, drawing inspiration from Eastern and Islamic architectural styles. According to some experts, this building is one of the finest examples integrating Iranian mosque architecture with Ottoman influences seen in Istanbul. The complex features a summer prayer hall, a winter prayer hall, and the school building, which includes dormitories and classrooms. The library building, added to the complex in the 1930s SH, further enhances its educational offerings.
