ISCA Holds Intl Conference on Theory of Waiting for Imam Mahdi in the Thought of Ayatollah Khamenei

The International Conference on "The Theory of Waiting for Imam Mahdi in the Thought of Ayatollah Khamenei" was held on Thursday, 23 January 2020, at Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy's Conference Hall. Research Center for Mahdiism and Futurology and Center for International and Scientific Cooperation were in charge of organizing the conference. 

According to the International Office of ISCA, at the beginning of the conference Dr. Najaf Lakzaei, Head of Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy, talked about the importance of waiting from the Supreme Leader's viewpoint and stated, " the approach of Mahdiism and waiting in the supreme leader's remarks have been emphasized a lot and the Mahdiism and waiting and the only way to be successful in this regard is through research, not by haste."

Dr. Elahinejad, the executive secretary, said: "20 scientific sessions and meetings related to the conference in various academic and Seminary centers have been held in different cities of Qom, Tehran and Mashhad and nearly 300 scientific papers have been sent. The sessions and meetings, the papers and the abstracts of the papers have been collected and compiled in the form of two volumes of book, four volumes, and one volume respectively."

Referring to submitting 300 papers to the secretariat of the conference, he stated, "140 papers have been accepted and these papers have been written on 11 topics in the thought of Ayatollah Khamenei."

Ayatollah Emami Kashani, the Tehran's Friday prayer Imam, who was the special guest of the conference, said, "The people waiting for Imam Zaman (AS) are the chosen people of the community, and the commander Haj Qasim Soleimani was one of those chosen and Allah Almighty made his martyrdom universal.

Ayatollah Emami Kashani stated that the enemies of Islam are working together to destroy the Islamic Revolution, saying, "We mustn't forget to pray for those who are fighting the enemies in Iraq, Syria and elsewhere, as well as for our beloved leader."
He went on to say that, "We should all try to be his true awaitors and be one of those whom Imam Zaman (AS) can depend on, which truly embodies the noble Hadith says "Khiar al-Omah ma'a Abrar al-Itrat".

There were four specialized panels at the conference including "the concepts and principles of the theory of waiting", "the waiting community, duties, features and functions", "the waiting community: strategies and harms" and "theory of waiting and the new Islamic civilization".

At the end of the conference, The chairmen of the aforementioned panels presented a report on their panels, and Dr. Ahmad Vaezi, the head of the Islamic Propagation Office of the Qom Seminary gave a speech to finalize the conference.
